2012 Ruth-Ann Schoberg Achievement Award Recipients

Ruth-Ann Schoberg was a woman who saw potential in everyone. She would push you beyond your own limits until finally you too realized your own potential. She had a special love for the care and nurturing of children, and for that her children, grandchildren, and all those that came in contact with her remember just how important getting an education meant to her. As a member of Moores Community and a strong advocate for education a scholarship dedicated to her will be the first of many to follow.This years applications made it extremely difficult to choose. The children of this class have worked hard all year and have put forth their best in the application process. We took into account their grades, extra curricular activities, exam scores, leadership, and essay.After a panel evaluated the students, LAMB Inc would like to congratulate Breyanna Wright and Davin Nelson as the first recipients of the Ruth-Ann Schoberg Achievement Award. Their passion to work hard and achieve more was extremely exemplary. Breyanna along with excellent grades and test scores held multiple leadership roles in the school being the treasurer of peace club and the president of 4H club. She aspires to become a Midwife and stated if she received this scholarship and I quote, “when I achieve my goals I could come back and do the same for someone in my situation.”Davin aspires to be a teacher, and in working hard became the most improved student in Grade 4. She realized his desire to achieve his goals refuses to let anything stand in his way. He is also involved in under 13 football and cricket. He also has a strong involvement in his church. Davin stated “I worked very hard to pass my examinations and I will work even harder when I attend high school. I understand the meaning of hard work.”These students will receive a $250 US voucher for school needs only and school supplies to start the new school year.Thank you Breyanna & Davin for your applications for our scholarship and congratulations on being chosen as the recipients this year.
