LAMB Scholarships Recipients 2013
Ruth-Ann Schoberg Scholarship
1. Jascinth Sutherland was the first recipient of the 2012 Literacy Challenge award, as she scored the highest on her 4th grade literacy exam. Today we would like to congratulate her again in receiving 1 of the Ruth-Ann Schoberg Achievement Scholarship for 2013. Jascinth is a member of Brownie, 4-H, Peace, and Student Christian Movement clubs. Recommenders saw her as “honest, mannerly, ambitious and dedicated.” If given 100,000 dollars Jascinth said she would pay her school fees and school supplies. Then she would invest some in a bank as well as donate to poor schools to help other children in need.
2. Cassandran Dennis shows academic excellence in all areas. She is currently ranked first in her class with top ranked GSAT scores. Her drive to do well in school gained her immediate recognition as 1 of the recipients for the Ruth-Ann Schoberg Achievement Scholarship for 2013. Cassandran was the spell a thon winner of 2012 and was also on the Mavis Williams Honor Roll for high achievers. In the future she aspires to be a teacher. Cassandran is a part of the Brownies, 4H, Peace and Student Christian movement clubs. She says her philosophy in life is “Whatever I believe, I can achieve.”
Dorothy Williams Scholarship
1. Lisa Gay Plummer ranks in the top of her class along with excellent GSAT scores. Lisa Gay is a part of the Brown club, Debate team, and mathematics club. She aspires to be a nurse and dreams of giving back to her community by building a free health care center in the community and helping to raise funds to assist the surrounding schools. Her confidence in achieving her goals come from the strong belief that she can achieve all things through Christ Who strengthens her.
